The Process
"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…"
We often celebrate the promise, but avoid the process. Yet it is during the process that God does His greatest work. The beauty is that as we grow spiritually, we begin to understand that while God never changes, our process with Father God is personal. Your journey, just like mine, will not look like anyone else's, because our purposes are different.
Shedding: Letting Go of the Old
Before Father God can do something new in us, something old must be removed from us.
"They pour new wine into new wineskins."
This is the part of the process where God cleans, purges, and delivers us — and it is also where many of us struggle. Why? Because it can be uncomfortable, even painful, but it is necessary.
Revelation: What's Really In You
The process is also where Father God reveals what is inside of us — the good, the bad, and the ugly. It is where He searches us and knows our heart.
"Search me, O God, and know my heart."
Through our lived experiences, God exposes mindsets, behaviors, and patterns in us that cannot go where He is taking us. None of this is to shame us, but to refine us.
Obedience: The Key to Growth
Now, this is the power move of the process: obedience. Yes — this is where growth and protection meet.
"If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land."
What a wonderful promise — weighty, but still rich. In this part of the process, our faith is tested, trust is built, and alignment begins.
Final Thought
Please be patient and understand — process with Father God takes time. Patience is key. And please do not be surprised when you encounter periods of isolation, because this, too, is part of the process. But when it is all said and done, you will come to understand how essential, imperative, and important the process is. Its purpose is clear: to align you with God's will, prepare you for His promises, and teach you how to carry what He has entrusted to you.
"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…"Philippians 1:6
Prayer
Thank You, Father God, for my process. Even in moments when it is uncomfortable, I pray that You would help me trust You. I give You all of me — to refine me, align me, and prepare me for all You have called me to. I pray this in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
